These are the consequences of the fire that engulfed the building at Farmacia 10 in Tirana. 30 apartments were affected by the flames that started on the first floor of one of the businesses.
Verification in the coming hours will provide a full assessment. Preliminary evidence suggests that some apartments have been completely burned, while others may have been more lightly damaged.
The fire that broke out in one of the businesses covered the entire storefront in a matter of minutes. The fire may have started in an outdoor area where there may have been debris. It is not yet known if there was an electrical distribution box nearby.
The flames caught all residents unprepared due to the rapid size they reached.
The distance from the facade to the source of the fire is suspected to have been no more than one meter.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The facade, which has two layers, was completely burned on its outside.
More specifically, the glass wool material in the second layer was not burned. The material that was burned is the white and red coating. The entire white coating is completely charred, while the red one seems to have resisted somewhat.
Apocalyptic images show the burned-out building, rubble at its feet and smoke still billowing.
The situation is currently under control and there is no risk of the fire spreading.
