Massive fires, Saranda covered in ash (PHOTOS)

Since yesterday, massive fires have engulfed several villages in Finiqi, such as Velahovo, Livinë, Ardhasovo, Bistrica and Krongj.

The strong wind that favored the spread of the flames has also caused Saranda to be covered in a cloud of ash.

Footage reaching Vox News' editorial office shows vehicles covered in fine particles of ash and burning debris, creating a visible layer of black dust.

The phenomenon has significantly affected air quality and created concern among residents and tourists.

Meanwhile, authorities continue their efforts to bring the fires in Finiq under control.
