A fire has engulfed the area known as Pyramid 12 in Leskovik, near the border with Greece.

According to preliminary data, the fire started on Greek soil and is progressing towards the village of Kamenik in Albania.

The area has been mined since World War II, and the situation is problematic.

It is reported that mine explosions have also started to occur in the area, while high temperatures are favoring the spread of fire, increasing the risk of the situation.
