Daniel Shima / AKSHI

Daniel Shima, the former deputy director of the National Agency for the Information Society (NAIS) has been missing without a trace since today, as his family members have reported to the police.

Shima, who has held the post of deputy director of AKSHI for some time, a position from which he left in 2024, is not unknown to the general public.

His name was mentioned by former minister Arben Ahmetaj, during an interview, when he claimed that Suma had been threatened to "shut up" about a tender worth several million euros.

"AKSHI is terrible. Daniel has been threatened. Now those who understand know very well that you shut up. Daniel has been threatened by the prime minister himself to shut up. Let him go out and make jokes, no he said...", declared Ahmetaj a year ago.

Ahmetaj then spoke about an environmental wiretapping captured by SPAK for tenders in the amount of 43 million euros or 43 billion lek, through the National Agency for the Information Society.

Shima was dismissed from office on the day that his boss, Mirlinda Karçanaj, was summoned to SPAK for questioning.
