A bar in Tirana designed for sports betting and drugs is discovered, the owner and a customer are arrested!

A police operation has led to the discovery of a bar on " Jean d'Arc " Boulevard, which, according to investigations, was adapted for the illegal organization of gambling and the use or sale of narcotics.

During the operation, the owner of the bar and a person who was caught red-handed placing sports bets were arrested.

The operation, codenamed " Meeting Place ", was carried out by specialists from the Cyber ??Fraud Investigation Section, in cooperation with the Special Operations Force, as part of controls to target premises used for criminal activity.

Citizens Zyfer Topulli , 56 years old, owner of the bar, and Gerard Ereqi, 33 years old, who was caught red-handed in the business premises placing sports bets via mobile phone, were arrested .

During the search of the premises, police found and seized a quantity of the suspected narcotic substance Cannabis Sativa, as well as three mobile phones, which were allegedly used to organize sports betting.

All procedural materials have been referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, which will continue investigations to fully uncover the illegal activity and the responsibilities of the persons involved.
