The 39-year-old Greek who is accused of killing his pregnant partner, the 41-year-old Albanian Gheorgjia Murati, has denied all charges in the Thessaloniki court in Greece. He has claimed that he is not the author of the murder and that he was asleep on the fateful night, that of the turn of the year, and that he did not kill his partner.

"I was there because he asked me to stage a robbery without hurting the 41-year-old woman. When he took the knife in his hand, he asked me to leave. I went out and waited in the car. Then he came and told me that he had killed him. I agreed to remove the body because I was afraid that I would suffer the same thing", said the colleague.
The two were filmed transporting the body of the Albanian woman by car after her Greek partner had killed her with a knife and buried her in a deserted area.
