Seven days after reporting the disappearance of the 14-year-old girl from Skopje, the Police of North Macedonia found her dead body, buried in a village near the capital. Five people are suspected of robbing and then killing the minor, while her father is among the suspects.
The father allegedly gave information about his daughter to the group, which kidnapped her in order to extort money from the girl's mother. However, a few hours after the kidnapping, the girl was shot dead.
The main suspect is a public figure, analyst and political activist, while he fled before the police could secure evidence of his links to the gruesome murder. The same group also liquidated a 74-year-old man, a few days before the kidnapping of the 14-year-old girl, while the kidnapping was carried out using the 74-year-old's car.
Minister Oliver Spasovski at today's press conference explained the way the minor girl was kidnapped.
As he said, Vanja Gjorčevska was forcibly placed in the trunk of the Citroen vehicle, after having previously been placed in a sleeping bag with her hands and feet tied.
