Other details have been revealed after the murder of the convict Arben Lleshi by Sokol Mjacaj in the high security prison in Peqin.

The author of this event, Sokol Mjacaj, was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of two Czech tourists in 2015.

After the murder, Mjacaj was isolated in an environment inside the prison and threatened to kill people if he was not guaranteed for life.

Sokol Mjacaj refused to surrender until the director of Peqin Prison went there.

After that, the negotiations between the parties started. According to the sources, Mjacaj was handcuffed inside the cell. He has handcuffed one hand and has the other handcuffed to the window bars.

Then Sokol Mjacaj threw the pistol with a grinder in his hand. After he removed the weapon, the Prison Police entered and arrested him.

According to the law, RENEA cannot intervene inside the prison, but the specialized structures in the IEVP.

We remind you that Indrit Shaqja, who is out of danger for his life, was also accidentally injured in this incident. The three involved in this event are sentenced to life imprisonment.
