The fire that broke out in the Blue Eye area in Saranda, where it reached large proportions yesterday afternoon, continued throughout the night but with low intensity.

In the village of Pecë, the fire was extinguished overnight. Since the early hours of the morning, 1 Canadair aircraft and 1 helicopter have been operating in the Blue Eye.

Yesterday, visitors were evacuated from the natural park. The Muzinë-Saranda road was closed after giant flames reached the road.

The situation in the Bistrica-Muzinë segment was also problematic.

The situation was also dire in Finiq, where flames have been spreading from one village to another for several days.

Several homes were burned in the village of Leshnica e Poshtme in Finiqi. The fire also reached large proportions in the mountains of Poliçan in Berat. 

A fire also broke out in the village of Xath in Fushë Arrëzit, where residents were evacuated.
