Another fire was reported this Monday evening, August 11, in the hills of Selita in Tirana, raising the alarm about the risk of spreading flames in residential areas.

This is the second active hotbed in the territory of the capital, after the one that appeared earlier in the Zall Herri area.

Another active hotbed is also in the Petrela area, as well as in Mount Bërzhita.

These days' fires, fueled by high temperatures and drought, are posing a serious challenge to emergency structures across the country. We remind you that the situation with fires is most problematic mainly in the south of the country, specifically in the region of Vlora.

The Ministry of Defense announced earlier that during the last few hours, 30 active fires have been identified in several districts of the country, where the intervention continues with ground and air vehicles, but in many areas the work is made difficult by the rugged terrain and strong winds.
