The situation of the fire in the vicinity of the Gërmenje Nature Park in the territory of the municipality of Kolonja and in the vicinity of the Greek border, has been kept under control and monitoring since the early hours of the morning and throughout today, working to prevent the spread of the fire perimeter within the crown protected area.

The team of MZSH Kolonja, employees of the regional directorate of the Agency of Protected Areas and volunteers of the area, supported by military officers of the genie, who intervened to dismantle the ammunition found in the area, is at the scene.

The service of the municipality of Kolonja has also worked with scrap to open forest roads, so that the firefighting vehicles can get as close as possible to the affected area, which is located at a distance of about two hours away in a terrain that is not easy to describe.

The local civil emergency headquarters is planning and organizing for the continuation of the intervention tomorrow early in the morning, communicating and coordinating actions with the structures of the Greek side.
