For those who hoped the hot temperatures were over for this year, another nightmare is coming after August 15. Scientists predict a warmer August and September than in previous years
With the departure of July, which according to experts broke all global records of high temperatures, it was thought that August will be a relief for people.
But, a new heat wave will "hit" Europe after August 15, according to the prestigious Bloomberg.
According to the report, most of continental Europe will be wet and windy in August, with temperatures below normal.
However, the second half of the month will bring a return to above-average temperatures in Spain, southern Italy and Greece, according to meteorologists.
"August is the warmest month of the year for both land and ocean temperatures in the Northern Hemisphere, so there is a chance we will see more heat waves in August," said Samantha Burgess, deputy director of the Copernicus Climate Change Service.
The potential for tropical storms to interact with the Atlantic jet stream will create uncertainty and the risk of above-normal temperatures.
Weather forecasting centers in Europe and America warn that not only August but also September will be hotter than usual.
"We are seeing unprecedented changes around the world," said Gavin Schmidt, climate scientist at the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). "The heat waves we are seeing in the United States, in Europe, in China, are breaking records. This is not a surprise," he said.
July of this year turned out to be the hottest in history.
Meanwhile, various countries of the world have been affected by sudden weather changes, such as storms or hurricanes that have caused casualties and floods.
