Considered to be the head of a cocaine traffic line, an Albanian man has been handcuffed by the British authorities, after his messages on the "EncroChat" application were analyzed.

It is about the citizen Xhuljan Shehu, who according to the National Crime Agency in Britain, has a fortune of more than 1 million pounds, put in just four months. The assets include a flat in the "Pinner" area.

According to the "NCA", the 30-year-old Albanian supervised the importation and distribution of cocaine in the United Kingdom and organized the transport for the drug to be sold in the Belgian cities of Antwerp and Brussels. The proceeds from the drug trade were then laundered in Albania and the Netherlands.

Xhuljan Shehu is an unknown name in Albania, however, the possibility that he used other names is not excluded. It was a social media post that revealed the location and led to his arrest.

Shehu supplied 30 kilograms of cocaine with a value of £1.05m between 23 March and 2 June 2020, which he planned from a flat in Whittington Way, Pinner, Harrow using the alias 'Maidenram', on the 'EncroChat' app .

He had also discussed using his ill-gotten gains to buy properties in Albania worth £2m.

NCA officers arrested Shehu at an address in High Street, Uxbridge, on 24 November 2021.

Further investigation revealed that he had used a fake Greek passport to secure the tenancy at the Pinner apartment in an attempt to disguise his identity as a drug trafficker. A bank card with the same name was found in his wallet.

When interviewed, Shehu denied having an "Encro" phone or having any involvement in the drug trade, instead claiming he worked in construction and was studying part-time for a degree, reports voxnews.al. He claimed no knowledge of the Pinner flat and said he only lived in Uxbridge.

Oficerët e NCA zbuluan 20,902 mesazhe në telefonin “Encro” të Shehut. Mesazhet treguan se ai kishte pasur biseda me persona të tjerë dhe kishte dërguar udhëzime për kontrollin e cilësisë dhe marrëveshjeve të drogës.

Shehu gjithashtu dorëzonte disa nga drogat personalisht dhe ndihmonte në llogaritjen e fitimeve. Termat “bukë, copa” përmenden përkatësisht 204, 47 dhe 23 herë në mesazhe, gjë që tregon njohuri të gjuhës së përdorur për trafikun e drogës dhe pastrimin e parave.

Shehu u akuzua për konspiracion për të importuar kokainë dhe u deklarua fajtor në Gjykatën e Isleworth më 22 mars të vitit të kaluar. Ai u dënua me 11 vjet e tre muaj në të njëjtën gjykatë sot (29 shtator).

Hetimi i NCA-së ishte pjesë e Operacionit Venetic, reagimi i zbatimit të ligjit në Mbretërinë e Bashkuar ndaj heqjes së shërbimit të koduar të komunikimit “EncroChat” në korrik 2020.

Komandanti i Degës së NCA, Matt McMillan tha se “nuk ka dyshim që Xhuljan Shehu ishte i përfshirë në çdo fazë të zinxhirit të furnizimit me drogë.

Dëshmia thelbësore që oficerët e mi mblodhën me kujdes nga telefoni i tij ishin të padiskutueshme dhe e vetmja mundësi që i mbetej e hapur ishte të pranonte fajësinë.

Tregtia e drogës e klasës A është e lidhur pazgjidhshmërisht me dhunën e bandave dhe vuajtjet reale në të gjithë Mbretërinë e Bashkuar.
