A bomb exploded at the offices of "Hellenic Train", the Greek railway company, on Syngrou Boulevard, after a warning phone call from an unknown person, who said "this is not a hoax."

A moment ago, a backpack was found on a motorcycle without license plates. According to the same information from the Greek media, the backpack also has a spear. There is a large police presence in the country.

Authorities have sealed off the site and are examining the possibility of a second explosive mechanism.

The call was made at 20:53 and the unknown person gave a time margin of 35-40 minutes. In fact, around 21:30 the bomb exploded. The media reports that the explosion was so loud that it was heard as far as Syntagma Square.

It is not ruled out that the explosion is a sign of threat or revenge for the fatal Tempi accident two years ago.
