Damage to the heart and lungs took the life of the young Albanian, Klajdi Bitri, who was hit with a fishing spear on Sunday afternoon by an Algerian while he was trying to protect his Italian friend.
This is the result of the autopsy performed the day before at the Torrettes hospital, Italian media reports.
The damage to two vital organs caused the immediate death of the 23-year-old, who years ago had gone to Ancona, where he lived and dreamed of a better future for himself and his family.
The 27-year-old Algerian, who is already in prison, said that he did not realize that he had injured or killed him.
Clyde's brother confessed the day before to the Italian media how the event had happened.
While the father of the deceased, with tears in his eyes, asked the Albanian state to help him bring his son's body to the country. "I want justice for my child, he was in the prime of his youth and did not enjoy life," said his father.
