While our country is facing a heat wave and extreme temperatures of up to 42 degrees Celsius, meteorologist Tanja Porja announces that temperatures have begun to decrease as of today, which, according to her, will continue to gradually decrease over the coming days.

"We have temperatures of 42 degrees Celsius today, there is a drop in temperatures. This is good news. Temperatures will continue to drop in the second half of the week, it will be felt on Thursday and during the weekend. Today we expect 40-41, tomorrow 38-39, from next Friday we have temperatures no more than 35-36 degrees," Porja said for A2 CNN.

According to her, in isolated areas, mainly in the northwestern edge, temperatures will remain higher even during the weekend, reaching up to 38-39°C, while in Shkodra, values up to 38°C may be recorded.

Asked when rainfall is expected, while many areas of the country are engulfed in flames, Porja stressed that until August 23-24, no rainfall is expected in Albanian territory.

"The rest of August will have little and isolated rainfall. Until August 23-24, we do not expect rainfall in the entire territory, from the 24th onwards we are expected to have two days of significant rainfall. This summer's drought has been unprecedented. Rainfall in the eastern half of the territory ," said Porja.

According to forecasts, meteorology announced that September is expected to continue with high temperatures, similar to those of the summer months.
