A serious incident occurred near a nightclub in Rümlang, Switzerland, where a security guard of Kosovo origin was injured with a knife.

Swiss media report that the incident occurred at midnight between Saturday and Sunday last week, at the Rinora4 club in Rümlang, where a fight broke out between security guards and a group of partying customers.

Footage from the incident shows guards using pepper spray during the scuffle, which left one of them with a knife wound. The suspected perpetrator, a 26-year-old man also from Kosovo, was arrested in the canton of Aargau.

Some of the injured have threatened to file criminal charges for physical violence, while the club's leaders distance themselves from the incident, emphasizing that the incident occurred outside the premises of the club.

A witness, who claims to be a friend of the arrested man, recounts what happened before the attack. “We were a group of about 15 people in the club, we had booked a table and were having a good time.” Alcohol was flowing freely. “We spent a lot of money,” says the 30-year-old from Aargau.

When one of the group had difficulty standing, he was immediately grabbed by security, he says. “He was dragged out in a very harsh manner.” He and others resisted the action and went outside with his friend. “There, security immediately used pepper spray and hit us.”

Several people suffered bruises and open wounds. “One friend had to have a wound on the back of his head stitched up with seven stitches.” The behavior of the security guards, he said, is no reason to attack someone with a knife. “But security is supposed to maintain order, not incite fights.” Some of the group now want to file criminal charges for the injuries they sustained.
