Assets worth 12 billion lek of Kristo Qirici alias Jetmir Hoxha and Adriatik Kalemi have been seized by the State Police, as part of the investigation into assets that are suspected of having benefited from illegal income.

We are talking about Kristo Qirici, the brother of the murdered Edmond Papa, while Adriatik Kalemi is the uncle of Aleksandër Sadikaj, who have been part of a long revenge saga for years.

Kristo Qirici (alias Jetmir Hoxha ) is the brother of Edmond Papa, who was killed in an assassination attempt in Tirana in January 2023. 43-year-old Qirici, together with his brother Edmond Papa, killed on December 16, 2022 in Tirana, manage the "Blues Sky" hotel in the Saranda area.

Alekandër Sadikaj, the nephew of Adriatik Kalemi, slept in this hotel two days before he was executed on June 11, 2022 in Tirana.

In the investigative file, the name of this hotel appears several times, where State Police officers talk to the leader of the criminal group, Kristo Qiric, asking the latter to find rooms.

? Who is Adriatik Kalemi?

Adriatik Kalemi is a well-known name in the world of drug trafficking and business. Adriatik Kalemi, also known as Andrea Kalemi, has become a protagonist in many criminal events and has survived three assassination attempts.

Kalemi has a long record with the Albanian police, and his involvement in criminal activity dates back to 2001.

He was arrested in an operation involving RENEA forces, after being wanted for murder by Belgian authorities.

Kalemi was accused of having, in collaboration with his brother, Fatmir, murdered the Albanian brothers Mevlan and Adriatik Çaça. This serious incident occurred in Anderlecht on April 13, 2001.

After 16 years, in 2017, he was arrested again. Together with 2 other people, while drunk, they resisted the police officer. A fourth person who was with them hit the police officer on the head with an iron bar.

Five years later, his nephew, Aleksandër Sadikaj, was executed. The assassination took place near the TEG roundabout, and Sadikaj was killed by remote-controlled explosives, one of the most serious executions in Albania.

A few months later, businessman Edmond Papa was executed in Tirana. This murder occurred as a sign of revenge for the murder of Sadikaj.

Two of Andrea Kalemi's friends are suspected of participating in the Pope's murder. Albano Velo was arrested, while the other, Andrea Bode, is wanted.

The prosecution has concluded that Andrea Kalemi has close social ties with Velo and Boden. They have had persistent suspicions that the murder of young Sadikaj was organized in Saranda, precisely at Edmond Papa's hotel.

Meanwhile, in January 2024, another serious event aimed at eliminating another member of the Kalemi family.

It was about Andrea Kalemi's brother, Zamir, who escaped an assassination attempt while traveling in his Smart car near the Selita area of Tirana. Zamir Kalemi was injured but fortunately without fatal consequences for his life.

Papa was executed on the evening of December 16 at the entrance to a bar on "Fadil Bodinaku" Street in Tirana.

He had just sat down at the bar when he was shot with 9 bullets by a masked person. Although the 49-year-old was taken to the Trauma Hospital, he could not survive the injuries he received.

The businessman, originally from Rroskovec, lived between Saranda and England.

He had come to Tirana on December 16 to visit his brother, who lived a few meters away from the bar where he was shot to death.

Eyewitnesses told police that he retaliated against the perpetrator, hitting him with a cigarette butt on the table.

It is suspected that the revenge saga between the Kalemi tribe and the group led by businessman Papa began due to clashes related to drug trafficking.

The origin of the quarrel is suspected to have initially started over 100 kg of hashish that Edmond Papa did not pay Aleksandër Sadikaj in Memaliaj.

A disagreement occurred between two friends over the payment for this quantity of drugs, leading to the ignition of the conflict with the murder of Aleksandër Sadikaj with TNT in his car, an explosion that occurred near Lundë.

Since then, several criminal incidents have followed, while Adriatik Kalemi's brother also escaped an assassination attempt earlier this year, when he was shot while driving his car.
