33-year-old Mikel Hoxha has been extradited from the United Kingdom to our country .

The young man was internationally wanted after the Durrës Court of Appeal on 13.12.2021 sentenced him to 5 years in prison after being accused of the criminal offenses of " Intentional Serious Injury ", " Unlicensed Possession and Production of Weapons, Explosive Weapons and Ammunition ".

Mikel Hoxha is the nephew of former PDIU MP Dritan Bici.

The incident for which Mikel Hoxha was convicted and declared wanted occurred in the city of Gramsh on June 6, 2018, where there was gunfire in the city square and as a result, Admir Haruni , a resident of the area, was injured.

The entire crime scene at that time took place in front of the Gramsh police station.

In 2018, the Durrës Court of Appeal reduced Mikel Hoxha's sentence to 13 years.

Despite the Prosecution's objection, the judges decided to change the charges, sentencing the defendant to 5 years in prison from 17 years, which was the sentence given in the first instance.
