A serious road accident occurred at around 01:30 on the Lezhë-Milot axis , involving two vehicles.

As a result of the collision, citizen RH, 66 years old, and his passenger, citizen AH, 52 years old, lost their lives.

Authorities suspect that the cause of the accident was the incorrect positioning of one of the drivers on the road, who was also intoxicated, while investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident continue.

Police announcement:

At around 01:30, on the Lezhë-Milot road, a vehicle driven by citizen A. Gj. and a vehicle driven by citizen RH, 66 years old, were involved in a road accident.

As a result of the accident, citizen RH and the passenger in his vehicle, citizen AH, 52 years old, died.

From the first investigative actions at the scene, it is suspected that the cause of the road accident was, in addition to the atmospheric conditions with heavy rainfall, the incorrect positioning on the road of the vehicle driven by citizen A. Gj., 33 years old, who was in a drunken state.

The 33-year-old was arrested in flagrante delicto, while the investigation team is continuing its actions to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
