Two people have been arrested by the police of Elbasan after various weapons, significant sums of money and narcotics were found and seized from them.

The Blues inform that within the framework of the "Dëshiran" operation developed by the investigative structures and the "Eagle" Special Force, AB, 60 years old and VD, 54 years old, both residents of the village of Deshiran, Belsh, were arrested.

During the search in the apartment of citizen AB, the following were found and seized: a Kalashnikov firearm, a pistol, 6 hand grenades, 3280 pistol and Kalashnikov cartridges, 5 cartridge combs, 3.6 kilograms of cannabis, 75 dried plants suspected of opium.

Also, 3,760,000 new lek, 5,000 pounds and 8,950 euros were found and seized in the residence of citizen AB, which it is suspected that this citizen benefited from criminal activity in the field of narcotics and arms trafficking.

In the following, the Police services carried out a control in the apartment of the citizen VD, who has a social relationship with the citizen AB. In this apartment, a shotgun and 55 shotgun cartridges were found and seized, which the citizen VD was carrying without a permit.

From the conducted investigations, it was found that the AB citizen was engaged in criminal activity in the field of cultivation, production and sale of narcotics.

Under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, the work continues for the complete documentation of this criminal activity, the identification and capture of the other persons involved.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance Elbasan, for the criminal offenses "Possessing without permission and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", "Production and sale of narcotics" and "Cleaning of the products of the criminal offense or activity criminal", in charge of the citizen AB, as well as for the criminal offense "Production and possession of hunting and sporting weapons without a permit", in charge of the citizen V. D
