He has not been able to walk since the age of 3, but this did not prevent Arbri Bogdan from "lighting up" his sister's wedding. The young man from Përrenjasi danced and enjoyed his sister's most important day to the fullest. Invited to the "Morning ABC" show, he talked about this but also about health problems.
"I felt very happy because everyone says my sister is gone, but I was much more happy than sad," said Arbri. Meanwhile, his father, Ilmiu, who was also invited to the show, emphasized that it was his son's wish to organize a grand wedding for his daughter.
Ilmi also touched on the health problem that left Arbri in a wheelchair. He said that at the age of 3 he had damaged his spinal cord due to a high temperature. But after many visits, the doctors told them there was nothing they could do and that he would not be able to walk.
"The temperature caught him at night and damaged his spinal cord. We didn't know the problem, we thought it was the flu. We are sending him to the doctor tomorrow morning. We came to Tirana and after the resonance they told us that we cannot do anything. He spent 20 days in reamination.
Then we went outside, they kept him with therapy for six months and said that we can't do anything else", said Ilmiu. For four years, Arbri has been undergoing dialysis and has to travel to Tirana three times a week. His father wants to donate his kidney but so far nothing has been done.
"He has been doing dialysis for four years. It came as a result of paralysis and we tried to transplant it. I wanted to give him a kidney, then the pandemic hit. But the doctors haven't told us anything exact. The problem is that an operation is needed to enlarge the bladder because the kidney is damaged.
It was left by the doctors who did not separate him and say that this boy will become like this. The tests have turned out very well, the kidney matches," said his father.
