The execution in England of Aurel Hoxha's brother, now wanted by SPAK, is the genesis of a series of murders against the rival clan, the Lleshi. Aurel Hoxha is suspected of having sworn to kill the men of the Burreli family, and from 2012 to 2023, 4 of their members were executed, including his brother's murderer, who was shot in Peqin prison.

The macabre murder of young Klevis Lleshi in 2020 leads to one of the most horrific stories of revenge in Albania.

The brother of the suspect, Aurel Hoxha, Agimi, was murdered in 2012 and burned inside his car in England by Arben Lleshi, the cousin of the 22-year-old buried in Mamurras.

This murder alone, of a member of the Hoxha clan, has produced a violent revenge over the years, which has so far claimed the lives of 4 family members of the Lleshi clan: Agim Hoxha's murderer himself, 2 of his uncles, and the youngest, 22-year-old Klevis.

Even though the authorities caught him and Arben Lleshi was serving his sentence, the Hoxha family did not forgive the murder and burning of their man in England.

Just a year after the assassination of Agim Hoxha, the first of the Lleshi clan was killed. On October 30, 2013, his uncle, Xhavit Lleshi, was killed, and three years later, another uncle, Hajredin Lleshi, on May 15, 2016.

In 2017, a 40-year-old boy from the Lleshi tribe also disappeared, for whom the family had no information until recently.

In 2020, the revenge that targeted only the men of the Lleshu tribe approached the youngest of the house, Klevis Lleshi, the son of Xhavi, who was killed in 2013.

For the murder, which is believed to have been linked to a drug deal in the UK, Arben Lleshi was sentenced to 32 years in prison in London. He will be the latest in a string of murders of his own people. In 2016, he was extradited to Albania to serve the remaining 28 years. While serving his sentence in Peqin prison, a life sentence for the murder of two Czech tourists, Sokol Mjacaj, executed Arben Lleshi with a handgun in December 2023 at his cell window. Fearing reprisals, no member of the Lleshi family took the body to the morgue, and the municipality performed the funeral ceremony.

For the murder, which also marked the serious episode of bringing a pistol into the prison, there were no official charges against members of the Hoxha tribe.

But SPAK's investigations, for the first time, tracked down the perpetrators of at least one of the murders in the Lleshi tribe, that of 22-year-old Klevis.

SPAK attributes this crime to the brother of Agim Hoxha, who was killed inside a car in England in 2012, Aurel Hoxha, who is wanted, also known as Aurelinjo Kalaveri.
