Criminal Lawyers Association Towards Electing New President
Criminal Lawyers Association

The Criminal Lawyers Association is expected to hold elections for its new leader soon, opening another front of debate in the justice system.

While public attention is focused mainly on appointments to the courts and prosecutor's office, the structures representing criminal lawyers, an important link in the justice system, are also moving silently.

For years, the association has been led by lawyer Saimir Visha, but it seems that his era is coming to an end, also due to his health condition.

At the center of the discussions is how the elections will be organized and whether they will guarantee legal and professional standards, or whether they will be determined by internal influences.

According to sources, the name being touted as a successor is that of lawyer Edmond Petraj, considered close to Vishaj.
