A Dutch tourist ended up in jail for 10 days in Gjirokastra for just a minor collision with the car of Adriatik Onjeas, director of the Municipality's Public Services Directorate.

This incident has highlighted Onjea's dubious ties to local government and his troubled past.

Adriatik Onjea was appointed head of the Public Services Directorate by Mayor Golemi, holding leadership positions for several years. However, his educational background has been questioned. He is also known for his extortion practices in the directorates where he served.

The Onjea family's problems don't stop there. Feim Onjea, Adriatik Onjea's brother, was a police officer in Gjirokastër.

He fled the police station when he learned he would be arrested for abuse of office.

According to the investigations, he abused his authority, taking advantage of his position for personal interests and continues to be under investigation and suspended from duty. Onjea, although he was an effective member of the Eagles, served as the driver of the police leaders in Gjirokastra and their right-hand man.
