The presence of bank data of Albanian citizens in the disk that was seized from the persons charged with the publication of the salary database at the beginning of this year, was left uninvestigated by the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana.

The latter, in the request for trial against the four defendants Eni Qirjako, tax employee, Andi Agaraj, employee of AKSHI and private bailiffs Klodian Sota and Endri Ikonomi, describes that in the expert compact disc, she found, among other things and a significant amount of banking data of Albanian citizens.

On page 3 of the request for judgment, it is explained that the hard disk object of the examination was seized from the citizen Klodian Sota, but despite the finding by the expert of banking information, the defendants were only accused of copying, selling and then publishing the salary database.

Fortunately, the bank data have not been published, however, their circulation outside the state channels creates doubts about the misuse of sensitive information for Albanian citizens. During the investigations for the publication of the salary database, the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has evidenced that the materials were extracted from the user tax system for the use of the employee Eni Qirjako, who then transferred it to her colleague Andi Agaraj.

The latter, according to the prosecution, is suspected of having sold the documents for 20,000 new lek to the other two accused, Klodian Sota and Endri Ikonomi. The sale was made through the delivery of the hard disk, where all the information was placed, including the database of salaries and license plates, which were made public, but also the banking information, which fortunately has not been published.

Endri Ikonomi turns out to be the owner of the company PRO 3 VT, which aims to collect debts from bad bank loans. Likewise, Klodian Sota, whose hard drive with bank data was seized, turns out to be the owner of the Smart Collection company whose activity is the collection of debts of banks, state and private institutions.

It is suspected that two people have used bank information to track payments and balances in citizens' accounts in order to pay off debts quickly. After the arrest of four people by the police, the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has filed official charges against them for publishing the salary database of 650,000 Albanian citizens./OraNews
