An elderly woman from the village of Pirg i Maliqi, Luljeta Hoxha, 67 years old, experienced horror two nights before the turn of the year, where a robber entered her apartment, brutally raped her, tied her up and robbed her of a lot of money of 10 thousand euros.

Initially, the Police was satisfied with only a short notification, but the event received media attention after the denunciation by former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, while the elderly woman is still in the hospital.

Sources close to the investigation group indicate that the investigators are collecting evidence and have administered as evidence the rope with which the elderly woman was tied at the time of the robbery.

In addition, the footage from the security cameras of the adjacent apartment, which is owned by the 67-year-old's brother-in-law, has been seized, in order to enable the discovery of the movements followed by the perpetrators.

Meanwhile, several people were interrogated, including neighbors and relatives of the elderly woman. Among those accompanied are also 4 young people in the area who fit the description of the perpetrator of the robbery.

The police are also investigating people with whom the elderly woman had constant contact, who may have known about the amount of money she kept in the safe.
