The Albanian government has approved some changes in the agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the company "Microsoft Corporation".

Through a Normative Act, the Council of Ministers has decided in today's meeting to amend the agreement with "Microsoft" for cyber security by expanding the areas of engagement of the American giant. The decision states that the total fund for such a thing will be 2.4 billion ALL or about 20 million euros.

Much that will contribute to the realization of the change of the strategic partnership project in the field of information technology is borne by the National Agency of the Information Society.

Decision:

1. The approval of the amending agreement, of the renewed agreement for the strategic partnership, between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the company "Microsoft Corporation", approved by decision no. 55, dated 3.2.2021, of the Council of Ministers, according to the text that attached to this decision.

2. The total fund of 2,392,794,278 (two billion, three hundred and ninety-two million, seven hundred and ninety-four thousand, two hundred and seventy-eight) ALL without VAT, for the realization of the change of the strategic partnership project in the field of technology of information to be borne by the National Agency of the Information Society.

3. The authorization of the National Agency of the Information Society to conclude the agreements foreseen for the implementation of the strategic project, according to the provisions in the amending agreement of the renewed agreement for the strategic partnership, which is attached to this decision.

4. The National Agency of the Information Society is charged with the implementation of this decision.
