The road axis between the "9-storeys" and the Opera and Ballet Theater in Tirana was flooded today as a result of the burst pipes from the construction company that will erect the 65-storey tower.
In the scandalous footage, it appears that white and black water has burst onto the road, flooding the road.
For several days, in the area where the infamous "Pulpit Tower" will be built, one of the only flower gardens that managed to survive the bulldozers has been surrounded, and heavy equipment has started uprooting the benches, trees and opening the pit that will go up to 7 floors underground.
The tower, which will cost over 100 million euros to build, has been denounced as a big affair of corruption, money laundering and political involvement, together with elements of the opposition, such as the family of Sali Berisha who is rumored to be behind the businessman Ilir Shtufi and his company "Nova Construction".
