One day before the October 7 protest announced by the opposition, the General Director of Police, Ilir Proda, met the director of Tirana, Tonin Vocaj, and the heads of police stations in the capital.

It is learned that during yesterday afternoon's meeting, the focus was on the measures taken during the rally.

Since yesterday afternoon, the police have been on standby and around 1,500 officers equipped with gas masks are expected to be on the ground.

One of Proda's orders is the control of violent persons who participate in protests, while the officers have been asked not to be provoked by violent people.

We remind you that this is the first national protest called by the opposition since the imprisonment of former MP Ervin Salianji.

Chief Democrat Sali Berisha has warned that this will be the beginning of civil disobedience until the creation of a technical government that will lead the country to free elections.
