Police officer fatally hit a pedestrian in Kurbin

A fatal accident occurred this Sunday evening on the Laç-Highway axis.

Police officer Florinda Zvangu, 43, who was out of business hours, driving her vehicle, accidented pedestrian V. H. 51, resident in Kurbin.

He was transported to the Trauma Hospital Tirana for more specialized medical assistance, but lost his life in hospital.

The investigative group and specialists of AMP (Lezhë-Shkoder region) have carried out all the actions at the scene and the vehicle's driver was accompanied and arrested for the criminal offense "Violation of road traffic rules", provided by Article 290/3 of the Penal Code.

The procedural materials will be referred to the Prosecution office at the Court of first instance of the General Jurisdiction of Lezha for further actions.
