A 42-year-old man was handcuffed by Saranda police after shooting bottles in the head, causing the death of a 62-year-old man.

The incident took place in the village of "Six" at the entrance of the city of Saranda.

The motives of the incident are still unclear, and police say the perpetrator may have been drunk.

Police announcement:

Today, in the village of Six, Saranda, suspected that for poor motives, citizen A.B., about 42 years old, struck G. B., about 65 years old, with glass bottles.

As a result of the injuries taken, citizen G.B. has died at the scene, in the courtyard of his apartment.

Police services immediately went to the scene and, thanks to the quick response, made it possible to apprehend the alleged perpetrator, citizen A.B., who was accompanied to the Saranda Police Station for further investigative actions.

It is suspected that the perpetrator was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.

The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecution Office, continues to work on fully clarifying the circumstances of the event.
