Two Albanians have been arrested by Italian carabinieri in Perugia as part of a cocaine distribution network in the area.

The arrested are 18 and 24 years old and were spotted near a car wash in Ponte San Giovanni.

At the time of the officers' intervention, they were selling the next doses to one of their customers.

After seeing the carabinieri, the 24-year-old tried to flee on foot, but was caught and arrested after a short chase.

Subsequent searches of his home and apartment led to the discovery of 2.4 grams of cocaine divided into three packages, as well as 24.6 grams of the same substance in larger packages.

A precision scale was also seized and 525 euros in cash, believed to be proceeds from drug trafficking, were found.

The two, both without criminal records and living together, were arrested for possession of narcotics with intent to traffic.

The judge of the Court of Perugia, after evaluating the arrests, ordered that the two Albanians be prohibited from living in Umbria.
