The Special Court left unchanged the security measure "arrest in prison" for citizen Vilson Pepa , who was extradited from Punta Cana to our country two days ago.

In the court session this Tuesday, Pepa told the judge in the case that he wanted to come to Albania himself to face justice.

The 41-year-old was declared an international wanted person after the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime had previously imposed on him the personal security measure of "Prison arrest" for the criminal offenses of "Drug trafficking", "Committing criminal offenses by a criminal organization and a structured criminal group" and "Laundering the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity" .

This is about the investigation conducted by SPAK into the file known as the "Albanian cocaine cartel", where the activity of the Çela brothers with the Çopja group for trafficking 28 tons of cocaine from Latin America to the EU was discovered.
