A gunfight was recorded shortly after midnight in the Golem roundabout area, in Kavaja, where a 22-year-old man was injured as a result.

According to police sources, the incident occurred after a previous conflict between two people, who met at the scene and after a heated argument, the situation degenerated into the use of firearms.

The injured citizen, Luiz Sheqi, 22 years old, was immediately transported to the hospital and is under the care of doctors. It is learned that his condition is stabilized, but continues to be monitored by health personnel.

Police have identified the suspected perpetrator of the injury as Shpëtim Dedja, who immediately left the scene and is currently on the run. Law enforcement is continuing to work to locate and arrest him.
