A group of doctors in Russia have shown extraordinary courage by continuing an operation despite an 8.8 magnitude earthquake.

The dramatic event took place in Kamchatka, where despite strong seismic tremors, medical staff decided not to leave the operating room so as not to risk the patient's life.

According to local reports, the doctors performing the surgery did not interrupt the procedure at any point, and they were even seen holding the patient from moving from the bed.

The event has received widespread attention on social media, where many citizens and fellow doctors have called them "true heroes."
