The police have clarified the aggravated situation in Theth, where IKMT is continuing the action to demolish unauthorized constructions in public spaces.

Taking the news that a construction company that was demolishing illegal construction was attacked with Molotov cocktails, the Shkodra police clarify that such a thing did not happen.

As police know, an unidentified person hit a wooden bridge with a bottle of gasoline while attempting to set it on fire. The fire was extinguished immediately, but the bridge sustained some damage.

Meanwhile, the police are carrying out actions to identify and capture the person who attempted to burn the wooden bridge.

The action to demolish illegal constructions is continuing in Theth, as it has been opposed by residents of the area, who have also clashed with IKMT officials and the state police.

Reaction of the Shkodra Local Police Directorate

Regarding a news item published in the media and social networks, that in the village of Theth, IKMT firefighting vehicles and a bridge in the "Gjelaj" neighborhood were attacked with Molotov cocktails, we would like to clarify that:

At around 15:35, an unidentified citizen threw a bottle of fuel onto the road, attempting to burn a wooden bridge, but the police intervened to prevent it from completely burning. The bridge suffered partial damage from the fire.

We clarify that no firefighting vehicle was attacked with fuel and no material damage or danger to the lives of citizens or state service employees was caused.

The services of the Shkodra Local Police Directorate and those of the National Security Force are located in the area, in support of the structures of IKMT Tirana and IMT of the Shkodra Municipality, for the implementation of the plan for the demolition of unauthorized constructions in the village of Theth.

The investigation team continues its efforts to identify and capture the person who threw the fuel on the road.

The police are determined to guarantee the safety of citizens and vehicles working in the area to demolish unauthorized constructions and appeal to residents not to carry out actions that hinder the lawful actions of the structures operating in the field, as they will face the force of the law.
