Criminal proceedings have begun against an alcoholic mother suspected of mistreating her 5-month-old baby in Vlora.

The incident occurred on March 14 in the "Pavarësia" neighborhood.

The police statement states that the minor is in the care of the social center services in Vlora.

"Procedures have been initiated against citizen HL, 37 years old, resident of Tirana, after on 14.03.2025, she is suspected of mistreating her 5-month-old baby. The minor is in the care of the social center services in Vlora, while work is underway to further handle the case," the announcement states.
