MP Erald Kapri has reacted to the situation in which thousands of citizens found themselves today, who were blocked on the Prrenjas-Librazhd axis for about 7 hours , after stones and rocks slid down from the mountain in the area known as the Dragostunja Bends.
In a post on social media, Kapri writes that the "ANK shpk" company of former socialist MP Ndue Kola received 20 million euros for the expansion of the road, while in total 80 million euros were spent on the Elbasan-Qafë Thane axis , only for the latter to collapse at the first rain.
He also listed several damaged roads and tunnels, which according to him shows that the goal of this government is not to build safe infrastructure, but to award tenders to companies close to the government.
Full post:
Seven hours have passed and thousands of citizens continue to be blocked on the Librazhd-Elbasan axis.
The sick were forced to cross on stretchers.
In this short segment, 20 million euros were given to the ANK company, owned by former socialist MP Ndue Kola, for the expansion of the axis.
In total, 80 million euros were spent on Elbasan-Qafë Thanë.
What happened?
It collapsed with the first rain.
This is not an isolated case. The same thing happened with the Qukës-Qafë Plloçë axis, where despite spending 6 million euros per kilometer, the road collapsed. There are also serious questions about the Llogara tunnel and the Murriz tunnel.
After 2013, we have not had a single Western company come to Albania and win a tender for road construction.
The reason is clear; the government has built criteria such that tenders are won by companies close to the government, in order to share the profits.
These people have no interest in building roads with standards or safe roads. Their only interest is to profit as much money as possible from tenders.
And who suffers the consequences of all these corrupt affairs?
Citizens, who even today continue to wait blocked to cross the road.
