The trial for the "Metamorphosis" file, indicted by Pëllumb Gjoka, Behar Bajri and Edmond Preka, was held today at the GJKKO, where two former police officers from the Vau i Dejës patrol testified. 

Former police officers Fran Gjokaj and Gëzim Demaj testified before the trial regarding the murder of Gjin (Ndoji) Boric.

Gjokaj, who was part of the patrol that day, confessed that he saw the victim's body lying next to the vehicle and immediately notified the investigation team, staying at the scene to secure the perimeter until the investigation patrol arrived.

"I worked in the state police. In August 2020, I had no duties, I was on general patrol at the Vau i Dejës police station. When Gjin (Ndoji) Boriçi was killed, I remember it as an event. Around 05.30-06.00, I was going to the police station. We went to the scene of the incident with my colleague and found a vehicle and a person lying on his back. The person was 2-3 meters away from the brown vehicle. We notified the investigation group, they came and handed over the service at 06.00 in the morning. The patrol came and they did the service. We just surrounded the scene of the incident. The victim was on his back, I could not distinguish him. The vehicle was turned off and locked, there was no damage as far as I could see. I do not remember smoking at the scene of the incident," he said.

Meanwhile, former police officer Demaj confessed that he learned about the day of Boric's murder by chance while on patrol and that he had not received notification from the operations room about the event.

"In 2020, I worked at the Vau Dejës police station, general patrol. I was on the third shift in August 2020, when Gjin Boriçi was killed. At 05:30, I got into the car with another person and a murder had occurred near a gas station. I only saw the stopped car and told the driver to stop the car because I was going to the scene. I notified the operations room, notified the patrol and the victim was 5 meters on the other side of the road. When I went, the car was turned off and a person was lying on the ground, dead. I stayed there until 08:30. I found 5 young girls there and pinned them down, that's the duty of the patrol. I saw it by chance myself, I didn't know that an event had happened, I wasn't notified by the room," said the former police officer.

Gjin Ndoji alias Gjin Boriçi was executed by gunfire in August 2020, in Shkejza, Vau i Dejës. Ndoji was found dead during the morning hours, on the street, next to his rented car.

About a kilometer from the crime scene, police found a burned-out car, suspected to have been used by the perpetrators.
