 In September 2022, it was reported that the Luftar brothers, Arbeni, Ramiz and Fatos, had an alliance with Ismael Zambada García, leader of the Pacific/Sinaloa Cartel, and with Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) with the aim of laundering millions of dollars through their businesses in the tourism and entertainment sectors, according to an anonymous complaint that was dropped a year later.

 According to sources from the General Prosecutor's Office (FGR) and the Intelligence Unit in the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), "no investigation" has been conducted against the Hysa brothers for organized crime or money laundering. Money so that in May 2021, the agency decided not to pursue criminal actions in the investigation file FED/SON/AGUA/0002348/2020.

 For their part, officials from the General Directorate of Games and Lotteries, Administrative Unit of the Ministry of the Interior (SG), told Grupo Imagen that Luftar and Arbeni appear as shareholders of the company Entretenimiento Palermo, SA de CV, a company whose is granted authorization to be an Operator, which allows them to conduct entertainment activity, which does not mean they are casino operators.
