"They accuse me of being a thief", the Albanian immigrant in Italy

An Albanian has filed a complaint with the Carabinieri of Agliana after he claims to have been the victim of racially motivated crimes.

For the newspaper Reportpistoia, Antonio MN, who has been living in Agliana with his family for years, told the problems he encountered. 

"My wife had Italian citizenship and my daughter was born in Italy. I filed a complaint to protect my family," he explains.

In the denunciation submitted to the carabinieri station, the citizen denounced an event that happened on the morning of November 26 in a bar in Agliana.

"A lady accused me of being a thief, that my skin was not the same as hers. He also insulted my wife. I was surprised".

Acts which, he explains, have happened several times in the span of several days. Antonio continues: "I informed the Palazzo Chigi, the office against racial discrimination, about the incident."
