North Macedonia is expected to have an Albanian prime minister for the first time in the last 100 days of this government composition.

It seems that the governing coalition agreement between SDSM-BDI, from 2020 is still in force, which foresees an Albanian prime minister for the last 100 days of government.

Today, the leadership of the Democratic Union for Integration has decided to propose the current Speaker of the Parliament, Talat Xhaferi, as technical prime minister.

"BDI proposes Talat Xhaferi as the Prime Minister of the Government which will be in force from the end of January until the election of the new Government", declared Bujar Osmani, spokesperson of the BDI.
