Two of the eight immigrants who arrived in Shengjin returned

After more than 11 hours from the arrival of 8 illegal immigrants from Italy, only 6 of them will be sheltered in the Gjadri camp.

The other two will return to the neighboring country again, after having problems during the verifications carried out, starting after their arrival on Albanian soil via the military ship "LIBRA" this Friday morning.

Illegal immigrants caught on the coast of Sicily are from Egypt and Bangladesh.

As soon as they arrived at the Port of Shengjin, they were accommodated in the reception center, where they underwent medical visits and the necessary verification procedures, from which two of them turned out to have problems.

This is the second contingent of illegal immigrants arriving in Albania according to the Rama-Meloni agreement signed last year.

The first group of 16 migrants arrived on October 16, but some of them turned back that night due to age and health problems, while the rest returned the next day, following a ruling by the Rome Court that a country to be considered safe, it must be so throughout its territory.

After this decision, the Italian government approved a decree with the force of law, refreshing the list of safe countries and paving the way for the continuation of the operation for the transfer to Albania of illegal immigrants caught in the waters of the Mediterranean.
