The author of the mistreatment of the eagle is 35-year-old Napolon Arizi, a resident of Përmet. The blue uniforms made it possible to arrest him, and as a result of the investigations it was discovered that he had killed two toads.

The latter were found in the apartment and he admitted that he killed them with a shotgun (couple), two days ago.

The services of the Përmet Police Station, based on police intelligence, following the investigative actions carried out to identify the perpetrator of the mistreatment of the eagle bird, yesterday, made it possible to identify, capture and accompany the NA citizen, 35 years old, resident in Through.

During the control exercised in his apartment, the Police services found 2 toads which this citizen stated that he killed with a shotgun (pair), two days ago.

Following the actions, the NA citizen was arrested in flagrante delicto, as he is suspected of being the author of the ill treatment of the bird (eagle).

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Gjirokastër, for further actions ", the Police announced.

The eagle that was crucified alive in Permet with the intention of embalming it, could not survive its wounds and died, despite efforts to save its life. Specialists of the Agency of Protected Areas and a veterinarian went to help the injured bird, but were unable to save its life.
