"Christ is Risen", Orthodox believers across the country celebrate Easter!

Orthodox believers across the country are celebrating Easter today. With prayers for peace and goodness, they attended the Mass of Christ's resurrection in Churches and Cathedrals across the country.

In Tirana, the Holy Easter Mass was celebrated at the 'Alive Christ' Cathedral, under the leadership of Archbishop Joan.

Believers have lit candles in the "Orthodox Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ" to bring home light from the light of Jesus Christ, who has now truly risen.

The celebrations will continue throughout the day on Sunday.

Orthodox Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after the spring equinox, or the first Sunday after the first full moon of the month. According to the biblical interpretation, with the resurrection of Christ, the transition from death to life occurs from Good Friday when Jesus Christ dies to Easter Sunday when he is resurrected.
