The operator of a Polish tour guide, Radoslaw Holowczyc, was brutally raped on August 2 in the thermal water area near Përmet, by the staff of a competing travel agency, also Polish.

According to the denunciation made public by Holowczyc himself on social networks, the perpetrators of the attack are Albi Miftari, co-owner of the "Kaki Tours" agency, and two of his Albanian employees, who physically attacked him in an isolated area where he had parked the bus.

Holowczyc says that he was repeatedly hit in the head, body and limbs, his earrings were torn and his phone was stolen, while he says he was helped by two French tourists who intervened to save him. After the attack, he spent several days in hospitals in Përmet, Gjirokastra and Tirana, where he received treatment for serious injuries, including wounds to his head, eyes, ribs and arms, which according to him are preventing him from performing even the simplest daily tasks.

In his public statement, Holowczyc emphasizes that the attack was planned and motivated by professional jealousy, mentioning that the perpetrators were informed of its itinerary. He adds that he is under the care of a psychologist and will publish more evidence and information on the incident and the people responsible in the future.

Last Saturday, I Radoslaw Holowczyc, a Polish tour guide, was brutally attacked and beaten by the staff of a competing Polish travel agency. After three days in hospitals and tests, and a few days of recovery, I feel empowered enough to tell you all.

Like every Saturday and on 2.08, 2025 I led a trip, one of the points of the program was a visit to the thermal waters around Përmet. After arriving at the place, I took the tourists to the pools and returned to the bus. In the parking area, in an isolated place covered with vegetation, where there are no tourists or passers-by, I was attacked by Albi Miftari – co-host with Kinga Rosalia Stachów of the travel agency Kaki Tours – and his two Albanian employees.

Albi came from the front, his employees, one from the right, one from the left. The three started hitting me on the head and face with their fists. One of them twisted my arm so that I could not defend myself. They knocked me to the ground and started kicking me in the head, chest, stomach, ribs. The earrings I had in my ears were also torn. They also robbed my phone, worth several hundred euros, and broke it. Most likely, they also stole my hat, which had sentimental value for me, as part of a trophy.

A fourth employee of the Kaki Tours office – Mateusz, from Poland – was also present at the scene. He appeared behind my back, on the side of the thermal pools, to cut off my escape route. He did not take part in the attack, but did not try to calm the situation, remove colleagues or call for help.

This brutal attack was interrupted by two random tourists from France, who came shouting at the attackers. They, at that moment, left, leaving me lying on the ground and bleeding. If it weren't for the French tourists and the ambulance of the Albanian medical services, I don't know what condition I would be in today.

Jam i bindur që ky sulm ka qenë i paramenduar, i planifikuar dhe i diktuar nga urrejtja dhe xhelozia. Sulmuesit dinin saktësisht kur, në çfarë ore dhe ku do të isha. Mateusz – një polak që punon për zyrën e Kaki Tours (i njëjti që ishte në vendngjarje dhe nuk më dha asnjë ndihmë) – e dinte orën e saktë kur unë shfaqem në zonën e ujërave termale, sepse jemi parë atje disa herë në javët e mëparshme, gjithmonë në të njëjtën orë. Vendi i sulmit nuk ishte as rastësor – sulmuesit zgjodhën një zonë të huaj, të mbuluar me vegjetacion dhe larg syve të njerëzve.

Jam nën kujdes të përhershëm të një psikologu, por kohët e fundit kam marrë gjithashtu shumë mbështetje nga ju, për të cilën kurrë nuk do të jem në gjendje t’ju falënderoj mjaftueshëm! Fatkeqësisht, ujërat termale për një kohë të gjatë do të lidhen për mua me dhimbje, megjithëse janë një vend i bukur në Parkun Kombëtar.
