The KLA quartet faces the final decision: Thaçi, Veseli, Selimi and
Jakup Krasniqi, Rexhep Selimi, Hashim Thaçi, and Kadri Veseli

The trial of the former KLA leaders in The Hague continues and today's session will feature closing statements from the victims' representatives, the defense, and speeches by Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi, and Jakup Krasniqi. The KLA quartet will address the court with speeches lasting 20 minutes each.

According to Kosovo media, the closing session is expected to be attended by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca.

In the last session, after the closing statements of Jakup Krasniqi's defense, the questions of the court and then the prosecution began.

The former KLA superiors are accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity, to which all four have pleaded not guilty.

After the closing arguments, the case will be sent to the panel of judges. The judges have three months to reach a decision on the case, or to request an extension of the deadline for reaching a decision.

The day before, which also marked the 18th anniversary of Kosovo's Independence, a civic march was held in Pristina as a sign of solidarity and revolt against the Special Prosecution's request to sentence four former leaders to 45 years in prison each.

The protest was also attended by President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti, along with other political and artistic figures, activists and citizens, who unanimously expressed that the sentencing of the former leaders would rewrite the history of the country and the liberation war, something they absolutely do not accept.
