A 45-year-old Chinese woman has been criminally prosecuted after attempting to leave Albania with an undeclared amount of money.

According to the police, the foreign citizen was caught in Rinas, where during the second-line check, euros and US dollars were found on her, which she intended to take out of Albania, without declaring them in accordance with the law.

Police announcement:

The materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against the citizen AW, 45 years old , with Chinese citizenship, who during the second-line check was found to have 61,755 euros and 10,000 US dollars, which she intended to take out of the Republic of Albania, without declaring them in accordance with the law.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
