Earlier, it was the Special Court of Appeal that did not accept Ramazan Rraja's appeal against the decision that left him in jail indefinitely.

Ramazan Rraja remained on the run for about a year, to be arrested in Ura e Gjola by the Durrës Police, while driving a car and carrying a weapon. SPAK says that Rraja together with 8 other people, at the request of Plaurent Dervishaj, organized the assassination on November 1, 2019, at the overpass of Shkozet, where Andi Maloku was killed and Pëllumb Muharremi and former prosecutor Arian Ndoja were injured. .
